Integration Acres Ltd. is a small family farm located near Albany, Ohio, in Alexander Township. Established as a farmstead cheese producer in June 2007, the farm began milking 12 Nubian goats and making a fresh chèvre. Fresh feta was introduced a year later, with La Mancha and French Alpine goats added to the herd. Today, close to 30 goats are milked twice daily from March-November during the pasturing season. They have also added a smoked chèvre and aged gouda to the repertoire. Integration Acres also makes artisan cheeses (fresh mozzarella and gouda) with cow’s milk from Snowville Creamery.

In the spring of 2009, Integration Acres’ co-owner Chris Chmiel attended a three-day cheese-making workshop by Peter Dixon, a renowned cheese-maker from Consider Bardwell Farm in Vermont. Integration Acres is also a member of the American Cheese Society and Ohio Proud. In addition to the ‘standby’ varieties, they hope to offer a rotating selection of both goat and cow cheese, including ricotta salata, havarti, queso blanco, queso fresco, cheddar and blue cheeses.

For four generations, Neil Cherry of Cherry Orchards and his family from Crooksville have taken great care in growing only the finest fruits. They are known for the wide varieties of apples, grapes & pears they grow, as well as their peaches and plums. The fruit is not organic, due largely to the climate in Ohio.  Neil does "minimal spraying," mostly early in the season before the fruit has really developed on the trees.  This prevents him from having to use more applications later in the season when the fruits are mature. Neil's fruits are guaranteed fresh and he only uses sprays when he has to. Embark on a sweet journey through summer and fall as Neil picks only the best fruits available from his orchards here in the hills of Southeastern Ohio for you and your family. It is truly local fruit at its best. See the expected 2010 Fruit Harvest Schedule.

The folks at Village Bakery & Café are notorious for their phenomenal baked goods. Perhaps it's because they make a point to use "real food from real family farms" like ours. Christine & Bob feature local, organic, and seasonal ingredients in all of their baked goods and café treats. This summer we are happy to bring you a fabulous selection of their wholesome and delicious breads. You can enjoy a loaf of their unique artisan dinner breads each week made from only the best ingredients around. They use organic ingredients where possible, and all loaves weigh 1--1.5 pounds and are at least 50% whole grain and made with non-GMO oils. See the list of bread offerings.

Snowville Creamery milk comes from Bill Dix and Stacy Hall's genetically diverse herd that includes Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Holstein, and Jersey cows. Since milk composition varies according to breed, their milk has a uniquely rich flavor. In addition, the cows are pasture grazed. When cows eat grass, they produce milk that is sweet, rich, and is particularly nutritious due to the essential fatty acids found in milk from pasture-grazed animals. Warren & Victoria at Snowville believe milk is perfect when it comes from the cow, so their processing of it is as minimal as possible. They pasteurize at the lowest allowed temperature, resulting in milk that tastes sweet, clean, and delicious. They also do not homogenize the milk so the cream naturally rises to the top. You will receive one half-gallon of the milk type of your choosing (Whole, 2%, Non-Fat) every week.
